AFRICA CLINICAL NETWORK

Picture
Today’s rapid developments in health care research and biomedical science and trends in globalisation have led to increased awareness of health inequities and the need for efforts to improve health around the world. Intensive cross-border cooperation is required to address this worldwide inequity in access to health care.
Therefor Africa Clinical has been set up. Africa Clinical is a network of local investigators and institutes established in 2017 by Julius Clinical together with Julius Global Health. The aim is to have a solid and continent-wide network of local investigators and institutes in Africa providing access to suitable sites and patients when planning a clinical trial in Sub-Saharan countries. Currently, it consists of 243 public hospitals & research Institutes in 20 different countries of Africa with experience in performing clinical trials and clinical research staff. Africa Clinical is managed and governed by Julius Clinical.

The course is aimed mainly at Medicine students, students from other faculties, UMCU and UU staff, but it is open to anyone interested in Global Health. Participants who attend eight evenings and write an essay about one of the lectures can receive a certificate for the course.
